Your Doing it Wrong!

Have you ever discovered that your doing something wrong? If you said no your lying. (either that or your God, a big shout out to God if he is reading my blog) I regress, have you ever discovered that your doing something incorrectly that you've been doing for a long period of time, like say your entire life? A few days ago I came to the realization that I may be walking incorrectly. I'm using both feet and I'm not dragging my knuckles so that part is correct. I do however have a tenancy to walk more on the sole of my foot and put almost no weight on the ball. When I'm standing still, more often than not, I stand only on the front part of my foot. It's almost like I'm always standing on my toes to get a better look at life. Its quite strange. So, I've been attempting to retrain myself to stand like a normal human being. Will it work? We shall see.

How did you discover that you have been walking and standing wrong all your life?

That's called toe-walking and is special ed we keep an eye on those kids who do that to make sure we don't need them evaluated for Physical Therapy. :) But I always knew you were special, Dan!!

(ducking)

Thanks Helen :) I went and read about toe walking. I'm pretty sure you don't need to keep and eye on me. I don't quite walk like a ballerina. I have a tendency to do it more when I'm standing still. My feet were bothering me and that's how I discovered that I do it. I'm not positive that I've always done it because I don't remember.

It's so you're prepared to sprint to keep up with all those kids you take to church.

I'll bet your calf muscles are awesome.

You might need orthotics. When my son was fitted for orthotics, the lady who did the evaluation said that about 90% of people walk wrong and could use orthotics. I don't believe the number could possibly be that high but that's what she said!
